Hello everyone and welcome to a new sneak peek of Lucky Paradox.

All the work on the next update continues at a good pace, although I have made some changes in the development that will be for the better.

Anyways, we should also talk about the winning girl from the last poll! She'll also have new content very soon!

This time I've started the development of the continuation of the story with Liz's content, which has made me rethink some details in the development approach Lucky Paradox has had so far.

So far I wanted each main story to be kept completely isolated from the others, this is because I didn't want to put “barriers” that forced the player to progress with A, in order to advance the story of B, so that each player could enjoy the game in their own way, although this in turn has generated a feeling of “disconnection” between the main girls, and that during the end all these plots would come together and form part of a larger whole.

Although in practice this hasn't worked out the way I thought it would, since the players progress with all the girls at the same time hahaha

As we are in the last third of the game's story, I think that forcing this design would be detrimental, since it is necessary to experience certain things to prepare the plot twists that come from here on, especially because some of them have important consequences, and programming those thousands of possibilities would be unrealistic on my part.

I mean yes, as a theory I could promise anything, but as it happens a lot in these kinds of games, many devs try to sell the sky and then the results are what they are... I want to avoid a situation like that happens.

To find alternatives to this, I tried in the past to add a mechanic called “Best Match”, which was only implemented with Yui and Charlotte, and it was incomplete, because I couldn't find a way to implement it without adding a lot of filler.

Right now, with Liz and Sasha, their new content has big consequences, so I feel like I've reached a point where I can't keep up that pace anymore (at least not without dying trying hahaha).

For this reason, I did a rewrite of the story I had planned for this update and decided to give this new approach, so for Liz's story it will be necessary to progress enough with Luna to continue. The same will happen with Sasha and Layla, as they share a strong connection. This will happen progressively between the girls, as each story will blend into the other, becoming part of a whole. Soon the same will happen with Yui and Charlotte, Mary and Prim, and so on.

The story from now on will be picking up more and more speed to give everything necessary for the Climax, so I want to avoid spoilers about what I'm working on, but this will be a slightly different update. Something close to what happens when entering Anton's room for the first time, but with much bigger consequences.

It came as a surprise, as I expected Sarah or Helena to have more requests, but they'll have to wait for the next opportunity. My intention with this is to add attribute tests as happened with Celestine in version 0.9.4, though this time changing the required attribute to Charisma.

I will probably take a few days off this week, as my birthday is coming up and I wanted to recharge my batteries before continuing with the development.
