Progress Sneak Peek - June 20

Hello everyone and welcome to a new sneak peek of Lucky Paradox

It's been some frustrating few weeks, both because of the latest update and my personal life.

But let's focus more on the first point and less on the second point, cause that is more important for the game :)

So far, the progress is going like this: Charlotte's story completed, Sasha's story completed and Mary's story as well, still some side events to write, but this is a small part, so it shouldn't take too long.

Despite my intention to upload the update today, it's been impossible without sacrificing content or risking some bugs, not to mention that there are still a lot of renders to finish and some interface details to adjust.

I feel it wouldn't be fair to sacrifice quality just to force a release date.

I am partly to blame, as I had underestimated the amount of time I would need for testing. The technical side has been a major bottleneck for the release of this latest update, and also there are still some small bugs in the quick navigation of the character interface that have become difficult to fix: Like the action to view profiles of characters you haven't unlocked yet.

Anyway, it's just a matter of time and patience, though I can't deny that it's been a very frustrating experience, as both me, and you want the update to be available as soon as possible, plus the last few days before every release mean a lot of crunch and stress.

But there have also been other setbacks, such as an attack on Lucky Paradox's Discord server, which forced me to take drastic measures to control the flow of people on the server (at least it is now protected against this kind of eventualities in the future). Although it is also partly my fault, for not having anticipated this kind of situation.

And to all this adds that since last week I have started to feel a discomfort and pain on my right wrist and I have been forced to take some breaks, as both the movement of the mouse and the keyboard have worsened the pain. I don't think it's good to put at risk an injury that could delay future updates even more, for not taking care and healing in time.

However, during these downtimes, I have brainstormed tons of new concepts that I will be showing little by little on the Patreon page (For now there is only information about breast growth/retraction potions). All these ideas were thought with the intention of adding new “gimmicks” to Lucky Paradox, without affecting the story, since all of them are optional. And also, to give extra functionality to some secondary girls that were forgotten once their story was finished.

And finally, renders, renders and more renders...

Before I continue fixing bugs, I want to make sure I finish all the renders needed for this update, so I can concentrate on hunting down the bugs one by one, since right now I'm getting too burnt out from coding hahaha

And well, there's not much more to say.

As always, I send you a hug from afar and wish you a beautiful week.

See you soon with more news!

Take all the time you need, people might get impatient but if you cant work on the game then they have to deal with it. Sending you the best of luck and my prayers, have a great week.

Your health and personal life ARE important to the game!

Aside from the mentioned brace, look in to getting an ergonomic mouse. They keep your hand in a more natural position, reducing the amount of strain on your tendons and ligaments, which reduces RSI inflammation. The RSI inflammation is most likely what is hurting, and if left unchecked, can cause permanent damage to your carpal tunnels. YOU DON'T WANT THAT!

I'll wait patiently for you to finish the upgrades! Just make sure you're healthy all the way through!

Don't beat yourself up about all the problems you've been having. It's easy to say in hindsight that we could have anticipated things happening, but that;s not the way things work IRL Also, with all the complexities you're adding to LP it's only natural that it will take longer than expected. As far as your wrist is concerned, it seems like you may be getting a repetitive motion injury. Perhaps getting a wrist brace might help. It will be uncomfortable for sure and limit your range of motion but it could prevent permanent damage. I know a woman who got carpal tunnel syndrome and her doctor told her that it will never go away. Here's wishing you the best, and feel free to take all the time you need.

I felt very worried after reading your message :c

Sorry to make you feel bad, but it's often my nature to often overemphasize the negative aspects of a situation. I didn't do it to make you more fearful, just to suggest a possible solution to your problem and to show you the possible effects if you didn't take any remedial action. Huh, it does sound like I was trying to make you feel bad after all, but with good intentions. Please take care of yourself. Either you can get a brace or you can stop working for a time and see if that helps. I do care about you and your health
