Hello everyone and welcome to a new sneak peek of Lucky Paradox

And here is also the first post of the year, and let's hope it will be a 2022 and not a 2020 part 2 haha

Last week I didn't have time to do the weekly report post, as there was a lot to do here for Christmas and New Year, I hope you guys had a great time during those days or at least you were able to rest enough.

During these two weeks, I have been actively working on the Lucky Paradox update. On the one hand, I was not very happy with the Christmas update in the way it was, so I have made some modifications, added a bit more extra content, and changed the story structure. I was planning to make this Christmas update as a series of short events like what was seen in Halloween, but it has evolved into something more, so now it has a structure more similar to a character arc and Christmas will just be a context for all of this.

In terms of length and play time, it will be like the updates you've been seeing so far. The idea at the beginning was to do something small for Christmas but doing a full and more meaningful update is the best thing to do.

In a nutshell, the content has gone from a special Christmas event to a crossover story between Kaede, Yui and Shizuka that will have relevance to the main story. This will be important for the second part of Kaede and Clara's story that will come during this year, as well as a complement for Cassie's side story (which will come at some point too, possibly during version 0.8).

As for the renders, with the changes in the story I've had to discard some and make new ones, so far more than 500 new renders are finished and only a little to finish the necessary artwork.

I have also been working on more optimizations for the Android versions. With the removal of the Discord integration, the game runs more smoothly than before and also have a lower RAM consumption, however, some of the latest Android updates generate some conflicts with the application, so I have to make exceptions and fixes for every little problem that has appeared and read a lot of documentation about it, in short, it's a real headache... And I must consider that a single Android OS update could bring new issues and bugs to fix... 

From the tests I've done on my phone (Which is mid-low range), the game has worked better, but this can change from phone to phone, so we'll see what happens when the update comes out.

As for the release date, the development is almost ready, so the Alpha version should be available during this week, as well as the Beta version that will be released a few days later, to make sure I have fixed all the bugs that appear. And I will send by private message the update links for the Alter and Candidates who donated during the month of December.
